This notice covers temporary inboxes, verification-code sign-ins, forwarding aliases, and archives provided by emailbye.com. We process only the data needed to provide the service and never sell personal information.
Temporary email addresses and their messages are provided for short-term reading only. Once they expire, they are removed from active systems.
Your regular email is used to send login codes and receive forwarded mail. It is not shown to alias recipients.
Forwarded email subjects, senders, status, and content help us verify delivery and troubleshoot issues. They are deleted when the product’s retention period ends.
You can pause or delete aliases from the dashboard, or contact support about requests involving your account data.
Data retention at a glance
Retention is based on each feature’s purpose. Legal, security, or anti-abuse obligations may require us to keep necessary logs for a limited time.
| Data type | Purpose | Typical retention |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary addresses and incoming mail | Create, display, and delete temporary inboxes | While the address is active |
| Login email and sessions | Send verification codes and maintain secure sessions | While the account is in use |
| Forwarded mail records | Verify delivery and troubleshoot issues | Up to 30 days |
| Security and access logs | Prevent abuse, diagnose issues, and protect the service | Limited period needed to fulfill the purpose |
| Two-factor secret | Protect a signed-in forwarding account | While the account is in use; removed after you turn it off and ask for deletion |
| Support correspondence | Handle requests sent to support@emailbye.com | Limited period needed to finish the conversation and any appeal |
When you use a temporary inbox, we process the random address, address token, expiration time, and messages sent to that address. We also process network and device information needed to provide the service, such as timestamps, request results, and limited security logs.
When you use long-term forwarding, we process your login email, the aliases you create, their status, and forwarded messages. Verification codes confirm control of your email address; no password is required.
We use this information to create inbox addresses, display incoming mail, forward messages, provide archives, and protect accounts. We also use aggregated or minimized technical data to troubleshoot issues, prevent automated abuse, and manage capacity.
We do not collect email addresses to sell mailing lists, and we do not use message content for targeted advertising. If our purposes materially change, we will update this policy and explain the change where appropriate.
Hosting, email delivery, security monitoring, and infrastructure providers may process necessary data on our behalf. They may use it only under contract and our instructions, and must apply appropriate security measures.
We may disclose necessary information when required by law, to protect user safety, or to investigate serious abuse. We assess the scope of each request and limit excessive requests where the law allows.
We use access controls, encryption in transit, short-lived tokens, and operational logs to reduce risk, but no internet service can promise absolute security. Do not use a temporary email address for highly sensitive, irreplaceable, or long-term records.
You can change a temporary address, delete messages, or pause or delete an alias. For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, contact support@emailbye.com and provide enough information for us to verify your request.
This service is not intended for children who cannot independently consent to data processing under applicable local law. If a guardian believes a child has provided us with personal information, they can contact support to request action.
Our infrastructure may operate across different regions. We use applicable contractual and security measures to protect international processing. Policy updates are dated on this page; significant changes will be announced in advance through reasonable means.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use message bodies to build advertising profiles. A temporary inbox does not ask for your real name. Your login email is not shown to people who write to an alias.
The Apple and Reddit messages on the homepage are in-product demos. They show the reading layout. They do not mean we have a partnership or a data exchange with those brands. Do not treat demo content as real mail.
Opening the same temporary inbox requires an address token stored in the browser. The signed-in state for long-term forwarding is stored on the device as well. Clearing this site's data ends the current temporary address or the signed-in state.
Those tokens only bring you back to the matching Emailbye function. We do not use them to track you on other websites, and we do not pass them to advertising networks.
You can delete a single message or switch addresses in the inbox, pause or delete an alias in the desk, and turn off two-factor sign-in. Switching a temporary address ends that inbox. Anything already saved on your own device is unaffected.
To access, correct, or delete records tied to your login email, write to support@emailbye.com. Name the request and include enough information for us to verify it, such as the login email. We reply within a reasonable time. Mark security issues in the subject line.
